If you want a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that will give you 2-3 years of low maintenance to your eyebrows, ombre tinting is a technique that applies a very thin amount of pigment to the skin. This results in a soft-shaded effect similar to a brow pencil effect.
How should i prepare for my eyebrow/eyelash tinting? How long does an eyebrow tint session take?
The average time eyebrow tinting takes is 15-20 minutes. While there is no specific preparation to this treatment, it is best to make sure your eyebrows and lashes are free from any make up or face cream residue. In addition, it is ideal to schedule your eyebrow or lash tinting appointment close to the weekend so you can monitor the effect of the dye on the skin underneath the brows, which will wash away in a day or two.
How long do eyebrows tint last? How often should you have a maintenance session?
It is important to avoid getting your brows wet for the next 12 hours after your eyebrow or lash tint treatment, and to clean around the area with gel or cream-based cleansers. You will achieve fuller brows and lashes immediately after your treatment and the tinting effect will last up to 15 days. If you decide to maintain the color, you may choose to come back for touch-ups. Also, be mindful that using oil-based products and exfoliating your skin in this area may cause the tint to fade faster.
